BIOGRAPHY After years of playing inside their Self Storage shed, the band recorded their self-titled CD in 1996. Slave to My Dick was a cult classic and Orange County became a local anthem amongst their fans. The Kids Don’t Care symbolized the apathy of their generation, and Rain Today resonates like a 70’s rock tune from a bygone generation. Alan Blaver (Drums), Mike Donohue (Guitar/Bass), and Craig Conte (Guitar) had been childhood friends since grammar school, so the three friends formed a band in the early 90’s. After jamming as a trio for years, the three Costa Mesa (Orange County, CA) residents added Deo Azurin on vocals to make their band complete. Conte wrote a bulk of the songs and lyrics, but his songs were fine-tuned by the guitar and bass texturing of Donohue. Blaver kept the steady beat of the rhythm section humming, and Azurin added substance with his vocal ability. Shortly after the release of their CD, the band broke up when Alan Blaver moved to Santa Barbara. Conte and Donohue went onto form a duo called Hoover’s Red Dress, and became instrumental members in the Faithful Church shortly thereafter.
